The lab is seeking to procure the instrument SpectraMax Plus 384 microplate reader and associated SoftMax Pro software for reading ELISA essays. This equipment is multi-channeled and automatically normalizes well absorbance, and can also eliminate standard curves. Specifically, this equipment would allow the lab to measure the levels of bNAbs administered to the subjects of the lab's project, as well as the levels of antibodies produced against the administered bNAbs and that will ultimately influence the efficacy of the therapy in study. The data can be easily exported for further analyses and then accessed using standard software like Microsoft Excel. The model will permit the lab to maintain continuity of services, parts, and to ensure that experimental results are not influenced by new variables to avoid any long delays and loss of results. Changing variables would prevent the correct interpretation of the data analysis methodologies in progress. Experiments in process have been conducted using this product and the lab must continue to use these products to avoid introducing outside variables resulting in corruption of the lab’s experiments.
