The ductile iron pipe continues to fail/crack. At present, the pipe failure is creating an unsanitary situation in the facility. The vendor has the resources to complete ASAP, the contractor will proceed once approval is provided. This price is fair and reasonable. The facility has recently begun to experience a sewerage gas smell throughout the facility. The main service line was videoed and the exposed ductile iron pipe was inspected. It was found the main sewerage pipe was severely cracked along with several feet of the ductile iron collector pipes located in the crawl space. This piping has created this issue as recently as last August. The maintenance personnel do not have the expertise to do this work. The facility is having to temporary close and/or delay daily patient appointments to clear the facility using fans and the building ventilation systems. The severity of the sewerage gas smell is increasingly getting stronger and more intense which causing longer delays to open the facility .
