The Billings Area Indian Health Service is issuing this Special Notice RFQ(SN)-CSU-22-015-JJP Sources Sought Synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify any IEE (Indian Economic Enterprise) or ISBEE (Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise) sources pursuant to the Buy Indian Act (25 USC 47). The Indian Health Service is attempting to locate qualified and eligible IEE and ISBEE sources “Native American Owned and Operated Businesses” that can provide a Requirement for Third Party Eligibility and Clearinghouse Services for the Crow/Northern Cheyenne IHS Hospital, Crow Agency, Montana, 59022. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to the procurements is: 518210 and the small business size standard is $35.0 million. CSU requires a software application that provides a secure exchange of electronic payer eligibility information in a system that automates patient eligibility inquiries for CSU . Additionally, CSU requires an application that will provide daily Medicare AR reports for better account management, all in compliance with HIPAA and Indian Health Service (IHS) Office of Information Technology (OIT) mandates. The CSU process up to 30,000 claims per year, approximately 2,500 per monthly billing cycle. Services provided serves as a means of enhancing and maximizing third party revenue and collection activities. The medical claims clearinghouse will work directly with CSU to securely and electronically transmit medical claims to insurance companies and to electronically verify patient eligibility.
