This Request for Information (RFI) is intended to obtain information and identify potential sources to help the NCI formulate a procurement strategy for transportation services in support of the NCI Office of the Director. This RFI should not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Federal Government, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), or the National Cancer Institute (NCI). PURPOSE: The responses to this RFI may guide the NCI in awarding future contracts at an undetermined time. There is no solicitation available at this time and no basis for claims against the NCI may arise as a result of this RFI or responses thereto. This notice is for market research only, and will help the NCI understand the current commercial marketplace, common practices, and considerations for these services. BACKGROUND: The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI) Director, NCI Deputy Director, Division Directors, Executive Officer and Deputy EO are required to attend Congressional budget hearings, meet with international dignitaries, and speak at various meetings in and around the DC metro area. Due to the importance of these meetings and the valuable time of the Director, Deputy Director and other NCI leadership mentioned above, it is imperative that these individuals be able to spend as little time traveling to these meetings as possible. Thus, the NCI has an ongoing need for services to transport NCI leadership for routine and incidental in-person obligations. HOW TO SUBMIT A RESPONSE: Interested parties should review the attached documentation included in this Notice and submit a response to this Request for Information. Respondents shall not include any proprietary or sensitive information in their responses. NCI will provide confirmation of receipt, but respondents will not receive individualized feedback. Respondents should submit their responses electronically to Renee Jones-Chuang, Contract Specialist, at renee.jones-chuang@nih.gov. All information and all questions must be furnished in writing. Please reference the notice number in all responses.
