The Indian Health Service (IHS), Phoenix Area Office (PAO), Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC) is contracting for a contractor to provide a system that automates the distribution, management, and control of inpatient medications. The automated medication dispensing system will support efforts to improve patient safety, inventory management, drug accountability, and a Joint Commissioned-accredited hospital for continued patient care services. The automated medication dispensing system for designated areas shall maximize the latest technology, medication security and storage capacity with a leading biometric access system and an assortment of drawer selections. This system shall support hospital compliance with The Joint Commission and regulatory requirements for secure medication management. Contractor shall provide a server, software, and rack with a service plan. The information contained in the system shall facilitate admission, discharger, transfer, pharmacy interface functions. The unit shall have medication order software to facilitate the input and output of medical orders issued. The contractor’s system shall provide pharmacy training, biomedical training, remote access, barcode scanning technology. SEE ATTACHED SOW
