The government seeks a contractor to license and support a platform for developing and administering genetics and genomics research studies, primarily the Genetic Literacy Virtual Assessment simulation environment. The platform must host AI-driven Virtual Human avatars with editable voice, appearance, and setting, accessible via secure web browser and optionally VR, to simulate an autism diagnostic encounter with a parent of a newly diagnosed autistic child. It will serve as a controlled experiment measuring provider communication as the primary outcome and genetic testing recommendation as the secondary outcome, with a secondary ISP-led project exploring clinical genomics communication approaches to enhance prevention behaviors. The contractor will work independently, coordinate with Engagement Methods Unit and/or Immersive Simulation Program staff and research staff, and integrate government-specified behavioral evaluation criteria into the platform’s coaching and behavioral analysis reporting. The platform must display government-furnished video content before encounters, support compatible file formats, and operate under Government information security practices with secure data transfer arranged by the Government.
