Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) TITLE: Sources Sought for Wiring and Lighting Small Business Contractors in the Atlanta area Introduction: This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform potential requirements. Background: The CDC Office of Safety, Security and Asset Management (OSSAM) works to provide a safe, secure, and healthy workplace for CDC staff while ensuring efficiency, environmental stewardship, and appropriate management of agency assets. As a part of their mission, they periodically need local small business wiring and lighting contractors to install new systems, as well as to maintain and repair existing systems. Purpose and Objectives: The purpose of this sources sought notice is to find capable and experienced small business lighting and wiring contractors located in the Atlanta area. Response Due Date: Submit Capability Statements via email to Mike Davis at VWL8@CDC.GOV. Responses must be submitted no later than 1:00 PM EST by 05/10/2021. Capability Statements may not be considered after the due date. The Government will not return Capability Statements received. Capability Statement Requirements: Page Limitation: Capability Statements shall be limited to 4 pages, including the cover page. Pages shall be formatted as follows: 8 ½ x 11, 12 point Times New Roman font with 1” margins. A page is defined as a single side of a piece of paper. Cover Page: Capabililty Statements shall include a cover page with the following business information: DUNS number Company name Company address Current GSA schedules relevant to this Sources Sought Notice (If any) Business size classification (i.e., small business, 8(a), woman owned, veteran owned, etc.) relative to the NAICS code for 238210 – Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. Company point of contact, phone and email address Tax ID number Point of contact, phone and email address of individuals who can verify demonstrated capabilities identified in response to this Notice Project Requirements: Contractor must be a small business contractor within the identified NAICS code for this projective work of 238210 – Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. Contractor must able to work collaboratively with OSSAM staff to install and service electrical wiring, lighting controls and other similar equipment. Contractor should have employees local to the projected project locations in the Atlanta area. For purposes of this Sources Sought notice “local” is defined as located within 75 miles of the CDC’s Atlanta campuses at: 1600 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30329 OR 4770 Buford Highway, Chamblee, GA 3034, Have relevant, and recent experience installing commercial Lighting Control Sytems. Documenteded ability to source, install, and service Lutron Lighting sytems. Experience working for the Federal Government is preferred, particularly experience installing and maintaining Lighting Controls Systems. Personnel Requirements: Personnel should be local (as defined above) trained and licensed and have the expertise to meet the outcomes and objectives of future lighting and electrical installation projects. Provide a brief biography of the local project manager(s). Provide the number of local technicians who respond to warranty issues. Indicate the guaranteed response time in hours for emergency situations and hours for nonemergency service calls. For each person listed, specifically indicate: a. Manufacturer’s certifications for installation and service of Lutron lighting systems. b. Years of experience with similar equipment. c. Other manufacturer’s certifications. Other Important Considerations: Contractor employees must be able to pass Government background checks. Contractors must be willing to comply with Government COVID-19 screening requirements. Capability Statement/Information Sought: Please explain in detail your experience, knowledge and ability to perform the following: Capacity and approach to meeting the personnel and project requirements and other important considerations listed above. Experience in each of the project requirements listed above.
