SOURCES SOUGHT BACKGROUND: The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service (AAIHS), Santa Fe Indian Health Center (SFIHC) has a requirement for Waste Management Removal Services to be provided to the San Felipe Health Clinic and Cochiti Health Clinic. Acquisition will be for a 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods. PURPOSE/STATEMENT OF WORK: The contractor will provide a facility waste management removal services agreement to the San Felipe Health Clinic and Cochiti Health Clinic with the following specifications: The Contractor will provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials and personnel necessary for storage, collection, transportation and disposal of all solid wastes generated at the San Felipe Health Clinic and Cochiti Health Clinic. The contractor will provide the safe removal of facility waste and comply with mandatory government regulations from the State of New Mexico, OSHA, DOT and The Joint Commission. The Contractor shall develop, initiate and establish a monthly schedule to remove accumulated Solid Waste from San Felipe Health Clinic and Cochiti Health Clinic. Monday – Friday, no earlier than 7:00am and no later than 5:00pm. Work Schedule: The Contractor shall provide a pick-up schedule to the COR. Scheduled work shall be coordinated with COR and the Point of Contact. The Contractor shall provide and pick-up one (1) 8 cubic yard trash bin/dumpster from San Felipe Health Clinic and one (1) 6 cubic yard dumpster from Cochiti Health Clinic to dispose of solid waste. The Contractor shall transport solid waste to a final site accordance with all applicable federal (40 CFR part 257-258), state, County/City Solid Waste Management Code and Government solid waste and transportation regulations. The Contractor shall meet and comply with all solid waste haulers’ licensure and permit requirements. The Contractor shall dispose of all collected solid waste at a State of New Mexico approved sanitary landfill. Provide collection services for non-hazardous solid waste once a week. Additional pick-ups will be coordinated with the Contractor as necessary. STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES: Locate eligible and qualified Small Business Indian Firms to support IHS procurement needs under NAICS code: 562219 – Other Nonhazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal. Utilize the information received with future acquisition planning efforts and potential Buy Indian set aside. HOW TO RESPOND: This is a sources sought notice under the authority of the Buy Indian Act. The Indian Health Service (IHS) is attempting to locate qualified and eligible Small Business Indian Firms, “Native American Indian Owned and Operated businesses,” that can provide services/supplies to the Indian Health Service. This is a request for information only, this is not a solicitation. Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
