This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with Quanterix Corporation 113 Hartwell Avenue, Lexington, MA 02421 For: NF-light Simoa Assay Advantage Kit and disk kit for Simoa HD-1/X Simoa Neurofilament Light Assay Kit will be used to assess levels of NF-L patients serum samples. NF-L is a biomarker of neuronal damage. As NF-L levels in serum are very low we need very sensitive assay which can measure such low levels. Only Simoa NF-L assay has potential measure serum NF-L levels in neurodegenerative disease patients as well as healthy controls.To maintain research integrity, with patient studies, it is critical that new variables are NOT introduced to the study. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements.
