The NIH Clinical Center intends to negotiate on an other-than-full-and-open-competition basis with Bard Peripheral Vascular Inc. for BD Mission disposable core biopsy instruments—single-use, sterile, semi-automatic devices used in interventional radiology image-guided core needle biopsy procedures. The instruments are compatible with BD TruGuide disposable coaxial biopsy needles, available in 14G–20G gauges and 6–25 cm lengths, and include Advanced Echogenic Technology, a Fire Ready Indicator, and 10 mm/20 mm penetration-depth presets. Delivery is requested on an as-needed/recurring basis via standard vendor shipment, and the sole-source authority cited is FAR 6.302-1 for only one responsible source. Responsible sources may submit capability statements by email for government consideration, and a determination not to compete remains within the government’s discretion.
