The NIH intends to award a one-year firm-fixed-price sole-source contract to 10X Genomics for reagents and consumables needed for the Early Detection of Lung Diseases (EDLI) project. The required GEM-X Universal 5' Gene Expression v3 Kit is proprietary and exclusively compatible with the 10X Genomics Chromium platform, supporting single-cell and multiomic analyses for early lung disease biomarker research. Because these reagents are sole-source and cannot be substituted without disrupting experimental continuity and data reproducibility, no alternative supplies can meet the technical requirements. Performance/use will be at the NIH Clinical Center, Bethesda, MD 20892 USA. The acquisition will use FAR Part 13 simplified acquisition procedures for a sole-source award.
