NIH intends to award a one-year firm-fixed-price sole-source contract to Werfen USA LLC for HemoHub software, a proprietary middleware and data management system exclusively licensed and supported by Werfen for ACL TOP hemostasis analyzers. HemoHub is needed to interface with the NIH Clinical Center’s two ACL TOP 750 analyzers and provide analyzer-specific QC management, calibration monitoring, clot curve analysis, peer-group QC comparison, workflow management, and direct ACL TOP integration. Because the software is proprietary, no other vendor is authorized to provide, modify, support, maintain, integrate, or offer equivalent functionality, and ongoing updates, validation, maintenance, cybersecurity, troubleshooting, and technical support can only come from Werfen. Performance will be at the NIH Clinical Center, Bethesda, MD 20892 USA. The acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 13 simplified acquisition procedures as a sole-source action.
