The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with WITec Instruments Corp, located in Knoxville, TN, for filter and optical laser upgrades for an existing WITec Raman Spectrometer utilized by the NIAID Systems Genomics Section. Specs and requirements: WITec RayLine Raman filter set for 532 nm excitation including: ? Long Pass Raman Filter ? Laser Line Filter Allows for measurements at approx. 90 rel. cm-1, part # XZF3100-0532 Laserport for WITec Multiwavelength Coupler Adds a Laserport to the Multiwavelength Coupler to connect WITec Lasermodules, part # XLP3000-0000 Spectroscopic grating with 1200 lines/mm for WITec spectrometers Optimized for application in the visible spectral range, part # XSG3000-1200 DPSS laser, 532 nm, 75 mWpower at laser output, single longitudinal mode, intra cavity frequency doubling, including optical isolator and fiber coupling unit, 3 m PM fiber, part # XSL3100-1154 Technical service visit, one day, with travel expenses included Shipping and Handling to Bethesda, MD Delivery 8 weeks, ARO The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 1901 (a) (1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1 only one responsible source and no other supply or service will satisfy agency requirements.
