This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Unified Information Devices 500 Park Ave, Lake Villa, IL 22444 for a custom designed Integrated antenna array system for cage monitoring for our Innovive cages with integrated electronics 6-Antenna plate. This is a follow-on order for Rocky Mountain Laboratories who has recently awarded a previous order for this same custom designed telemetry system to Uniformed Information Devices, Inc. For compatibility and safety reasons, these custom-built systems need to be identical. These systems will be used within the BSL4 High Containment Laboratory. This system meets our very specific requirements for IT safety, wiring, decontamination and other topics necessary within our BSL4 high containment facility. Telemetry systems which work with other caging systems are not an option as this system is custom built. UID also owns the Patent for this telemetry system. Place of Performance is Hamilton, MT 59840 The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. All responsible sources that could provide comparable services may submit a capability statement that will be considered by email (subject line to reference NOI-NIAID-2085733) to Skye Duffner at skye.duffner@nih.gov by 10:00 am eastern standard time Friday, August 13, 2021. All responses received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
