This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with Genewiz, LLC, 115 Corporate Blvd, South Plainfield, NJ, 07080-2409, USA for transcriptomic analysis of Covid-19 vaccinated NHPs. The Biodefense Research Section of NIAID conducts research on extraordinary biodefense research needs in SARS-CoV-2 and develops multiple biodefense related vaccine products, studies the innate and adaptive immune response to such agents, and their pathogenetic, viral, cellular, and immune components. It utilizes the potential of various animal models to predict pathogenetic and/or immune responses in humans and develops vaccine products and potential therapeutic agents. We are preparing for this possibility by designing a vaccination strategy that tests whether a heterologous prime/boost is superior to a prime only or that of a homologous prime/boost in the context of durable protection against SARS-CoV-2. Place of Performance is Bethesda, MD 20892 The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements. All responses received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
