PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE NOI-NIAID-2057235 NAICS – 334516 This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with LabRepCo to procure a Abeyance Cryo Solutions A440 LN2 Vapor Freezer (Cat # PN-45). The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID), Vaccine Research Center (VRC), Non-Human Primate Immunogenicity Core (NIC) performs immunological assays on study samples used throughout all of NIAID. The Non-Human Primate Immunogenicity Core (NIC) processes and freezes cells on a daily basis on behalf of NIAID and VRC research projects. This requirement is for an additional liquid nitrogen freezer. The purpose of using the Abeyance Cryo Solutions A440 LN2 Vapor Freezer is to preserve the integrity and viability of single cells over a long-term period of time. The NIC group is currently running out space to store cell samples due to high volume research demands and needs a freezer that can be delivered within one week of order placement; furthermore, space constraints within the lab limit the options of freezer models that can physically be housed in the location. This freezer also fits into the space that has been designated at the service location. It also is compatible with existing freezers so no training will be necessary.
