Background The Non-Invasive Neuromodulation Unit (NNU) is within the Experimental Therapeutics & Pathophysiology Branch at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). The NNU is studying the brain mechanisms underlying major depression and other mood disorders. The needed coils are two transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) coils needed to support the ongoing studies entitled: “Concurrent fMRI-guided rTMS and cognitive therapy for the treatment of major depressive episode” (Protocol# 17M0147); “Neuropharmacologic Imaging and Biomarker Assessments of Response to Acute and Repeated-Dosed Ketamine Infusions in Major Depressive Disorder” (17M0060); and “Development of Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation Techniques” (18M0015). Purpose The purpose of this acquisition is to acquire MagVenture or equal Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Figure 8 Coils that meet all salient characteristics. The salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics that “equal” products must meet are specified in the purchase description. Purchase Description: MagVenture Coils or Equal Salient characteristics: Refer to Attachment 1: Product Description for a complete description of salient characteristics.
