The purpose of this acquistions is to procure an optical sectioning device with camera to provide NINDS Investigators in performing structure-illumination widefield method to create optical sections of fluorescent samples. The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) is a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), conducting research into the causes, treatment, and prevention of neurological disorders and stroke. The Translational Neuroradiology Section uses advanced MRI and histological techniques to elucidate the disease manifestations of multiple sclerosis. The optical sectioning device with a camera is required to detect subcellular structure that is important for studying pathogenesis in animal models or clinical samples.
