The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), Neuromuscular and Neurogenetics Disorders of Childhood Section requires a complete electrophysiology rig, including microelectrode amplifier, digitizer, and software, that is brand name or equal to the Axon Multiclamp 700B, Digidata 1550B1, and PClamp software. This system will be used for electrophysiology intracellular recordings measurements on mouse tissue in order to quantify acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction. These recordings are a crucial outcome measurement for the Platform Vector Gene Therapy (PaVe-GT) project, through which NINDS is designing gene therapy for congenital myasthenic syndromes.
