The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Mouse Imaging Facility (MIF) requires a brand name or equal InAlyzer Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA/ DEXA) system to complement and enhance its imaging devices, including microCT systems capable of acquiring bone mineral density information. The MIF also requires that any order for this equipment include a trade-in of two (2) NIH-owned SkyScan microCT specimen scanners and that the trade-in value of these scanners be applied toward the total quoted price of the new DEXA system.
