This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract for maintenance services of an LSR Fortessa Flow Cytometer to BD Biosciences. The performance of services will take place at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. The period of performance is estimated to be a base year from March 17, 2026, through March 16, 2027, with two optional one-year extension periods. The justification is that BD Biosciences is asserted to be the sole OEM manufacturer and the only source for factory-trained technicians and proprietary parts required to maintain this critical research equipment. This is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested parties may submit a capability statement.
