The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), Division of Pre-Clinical Innovation, Early Translation Branch (ETB) requires one Agilent PlateLoc thermal microplate sealer or equal thermal microplate sealer (Equipment). The Equipment must be either brand name or equal to the following: Manufacturer Name: Agilent Technologies Manufacturer Product Number: G5585BA Product Name: PlateLoc/PlateLoc thermal microplate sealer Salient Characteristics: To be considered technically acceptable, the Equipment must meet the following salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics: Able to seal deep well, assay, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and compound storage microplates. Able to fit microplates of up to 51 mm. Able to be controlled via an integrated touch panel. Able to seal microplates that meet Standards ANSI/SBS 1-2004 through ANSI/SBS 4-2004 and are thermal sealing compatible. Able to operate at temperatures of 30 to 200° C. Be fully compatible with Brooks Life Sciences’ XPeel automated plate seal remover. Operate at 70 LPM at 6.2 bar (2.5 cfm at 90 psi) Have cycle time of eight (8) seconds per plate or less. Have warm-up time of 2.5 minutes or less. Have cool-down time of one hour (assuming 160° C to room temperature) or less. Have sealing temperature control of ± 2 degrees° C, and seal slitting control. Include an integrated RS-232 Serial Port with DB9 connector, and an integrated microplate stage. Include the following compatible plate inserts: plate insert - flexible, .090; plate insert - .180; plate insert - .235; plate insert - .290 Include a power cord, air connection kit (North American), and roll of peelable aluminum seal.
