Notice of Intent to Award The National Institute of Health/Clinical Center/Office of Purchasing and Contracts intends to award a firm fixed-price contract to Buffalo Supply, for cordless headlights, This item is being requested by the Urology Surgeons to be used in Urology Open Surgery cases that may require this device to give the surgeon better visualization and light in the surgical field. The Headlight System is cordless allowing the surgeon free movement around the operating room without limitations. The Department of Peri-Operative Medicine of the NIH Clinical Center concludes the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The Department of Perioperative Medicine currently has several sets of this headlight in the department. For standardization purpose’s we are looking to purchase the same headlight that tis compatible with the charging station batteries of the ones we currently use in the department. This provides redundancy when needed. Buffalo supply is a small business and meets the requirements needs. The following are the benefits needed: 9062OUS-2EA-- DUO HEADLIGHT 2 BAY YSTEM 1. Greater Freedom This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of the FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source. Interested concerns capable of providing the same or similar products or services as described in this notice may submit a capability statement outlining their capabilities. Capability Statements must be received within the time set forth in this synopsis to be considered by the Government. A determination to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Each response should include the following Business Information: a. DUNS. b. Company Name, address, POC, Phone and Email address c. Current GSA Schedules or NAICS codes appropriate to this Award. d. Type of Company (i.e., small business, 8(a), woman owned, HUBZone, veteran owned, etc.) as validated in System For Award Management (SAM).
