The purpose of this Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) solicitation is to obtain a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (hereinafter referred to as “the contractor” or “MAC” or “DME MAC”) to provide specified health insurance benefit administration services, including Medicare claims processing and payment services, in support of the “traditional” Medicare program (also known as the Medicare fee-for-service or FFS, program) for Jurisdiction A (JA). Jurisdiction A includes the states and territories of Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
