BACKGROUND: The Navajo Area Indian Health Service, Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF) is requesting for offers for a contractor to deliver a mobile health unit in strict accordance to the attached Specifications. Per FAR 6.302-1(c)(2) CCHCF has identified a specific brand name, but will accept brand-name or equal descriptions. This Sources Sought Notice is for the Navajo Area Indian Health Service, Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facillity issued in accordance with FAR 5.101. The purpose of this notice is to identify potential sources for providing Mobile Health Unit at the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility. This notice does not commit the Government to issue a solicitation or make an award OR to prelude a solicitation expected to be issued from closure of notice. Chinle Service Unit includes the hospital and brand-new ambulatory care center in Chinle, and two health centers- one in Pinon and the other in Tsaile. We provide medical care for approximately 35,000 Navajo. Serving a rural area, many of our patients travel 100 miles round trip to receive care and do not have electricity or running water in their homes. And, most of our elderly patients speak only Navajo, and live according to traditional Navajo cultural practices. The Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility and Ambulatory Care Center is a 60 bed inpatient hospital and outpatient facility. Services offered are: Adult inpatient and Pediatric Inpatient Care, Outpatient Primary Care, Adult Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Podiatry, OBGYN, Labor & Delivery, Women's Health, Midwifery, Mental Health, Pharmacy, Optometry, Dental, PT, OT, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Lab, Public Health and School Health. We live in one of the most scenic areas of the country, and offer almost unlimited opportunities for outdoor recreational activities. Description of Supplies: The Contractor shall provide a mobile health van to provide healthcare services to geographically isolated and underserved patients who cannot equitable access healthcare. This will expand capacity for rapid response to communicable disease outbreaks by bringing test and treatment services for infections. Delivery Timeframe: Delivered 8 to 10 weeks, no longer than 12 weeks. Vehicle Capabilities: Provide evidence company has a cargo van equipped with modification to satisfy off-road capability requirements while housing a fully-functional medical clinical with reception/triage area separated from the exam area by a privacy door. Vehicle must have a gross vehicle weight rate of 9,350 lbs. Vehicle must have a 3.6 L V6 gas engine and have a 9-speed automatic transmission, cruise control, and back up camera. Training: Staff will need to be oriented to the van and understand operation of the MHV equipment. Warranty: Provide evidence that the item has warranty options.
