BARDA is conducting market research for an in-person, instructor-led two-day “Device Development for Scientists” course for up to 30 participants, planned for November 2–3, 2026, at the Constitution Center in Washington, DC, with alternative dates potentially considered by mutual agreement. The contractor would provide qualified instructor(s) and all course materials, including slides, workbooks, and handouts, with electronic materials Section 508 compliant and final materials due at least two business days before training. The course should cover medical device discovery, preclinical and clinical development, IDE studies, labeling, academia/industry differences, IP, FDA regulatory pathways and submissions, post-market recalls, and coverage/coding/reimbursement. Proposed instructors must have at least five years of relevant medical device development experience, demonstrated regulatory/scientific/commercial expertise, and a master’s degree or higher, with resumes/CVs provided. Interested parties should address capability, relevant past performance, availability for the Washington, DC training, estimated cost for up to 30 attendees including materials and instructor travel, existing government contract vehicles, and instructor qualifications.
