The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH), Section on Sensory Cells and Circuits intends to procure brand name or equal parts to upgrade their existing Olympus FV1000 Confocal Microscope to an Olympus FV3000 confocal system. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and under the authority to use simplified procedures for commercial requirements as provided in FAR 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is full and open competition. The North American Industry Classification System code is 333314 and the business size standard is 500 employees. Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. This will be awarded as a firm fixed price type Purchase Order.
