Acquisition of Software for Whole-Genome Sequencing
The National Institutes of Health requires the annual renewal of one software license for whole-genome sequencing and ad-hoc services. The procurement is planned as a sole-source acquisition from Sentieon, Inc., as their proprietary software is deemed the only known source that can meet the government's specific technical needs. The software must provide a 20–50× increase in processing speed with identical accuracy to the current GATK pipeline to analyze large tumor cohorts. While this is a sole-source notice, the agency will consider capability statements from interested parties, especially small businesses, who believe they can meet the requirement. Performance will be for the Integrative Tumor Epidemiology Branch's Microscopy Core.
