The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisitions, intend to award a sole source purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1), to Biomedia Holdings Co., Ltd., 55/5 Moo 10 Soi Watprangoen, Kanjanapisek Thailand 11140 to purchase the GeneXpert IV Module laboratory equipment for CDC HIV laboratory in Thailand. Biomedia (Thailand) is the only distributor in Thailand for the GeneXpert equipment, which is made by Cepheid (USA). There are no other vendors that can provide this equipment in Thailand. The place of performance is the CDC DHAP Laboratory Dept. of Medical Sciences Building 2/Floor 2 Tivanon Road, Nonthaburi, Thailand 11000. No request for quote will be issued based upon this notice of intent. This synopsis ends on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in accordance with FAR 5.203 (a)(1). Any interested companies are welcome to submit their ability to provide the specified products via email to qlc3@cdc.gov. Please include reference number (2020-47965) and respond by 8/12/2020 at 4 PM EST. Responses received will be considered for future procurements. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
