The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to AcademyHealth, Inc., for activities related to and supportive of components of the 2020 AcademyHealth annual research meeting (ARM) in June 2020, specifically three sessions: the NCHS Pre-ARM Methods Seminar entitled Understanding and Analyzing US Health Care Data: National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey, National Hospital Ambulatory Medical Care Survey, and National Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Study; (2) the NCHS Research Resources session entitled Integrating Data to Better Understand Health and its Determinants, and (3) the third session will be a policy resources session with the topic and title to be determined, with organizational and monetary support from the CDC’s Office of the Associate Director for Policy and Strategy (CDC/OD/OADPS) and other CDC offices and/or divisions in Atlanta. As the pre-eminent professional society for health services researchers and health policy analysts, AcademyHealth collaborates with the health services research community and other key stakeholders to support, facilitate, and assist in the development of health services researchers. AcademyHealth has over 4,000 individual members whose expertise encompasses the field of health services and medical effectiveness research and health policy. This extensive membership provides AcademyHealth with the unique ability to reach the health services research community through organizational and personal memberships. AcademyHealth is the only national membership organization that is devoted to the promotion of the field of health services research and has the mission to strengthen the link between the users and producers of health services research. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested parties may identify their interest and submit documentation of their capability to respond to the requirement.
