The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Thermo Electron North America. This procurement is for a authorized services for the Maintenance Agreement on multiple Thermo Scientific systems. The units are the following: Thermo Trace 1310 GC with a TSQ8000 MS and autosampler and a Thermo Scientific Vanquish UHPLC with UV-Vis detector, sample pump, column compartment and autosampler, Thermo 280 PFAS Cartridge system. A preventative maintenance visit for the TSQ Quantiva MS in this PR, this instrument is still under factory warranty that does not include PM visits. Thermo Electron North America is the original manufacturer and the only provider of parts and authorized services for the existing Thermo Electron units. A one-year service agreement is requested to cover preventative maintenances and emergency repairs of the instruments. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested parties may identify their interest and submit documentation of their capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within four (4) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
