Background The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Program Support Center (PSC), Federal Occupational Health (FOH) provides occupational health consultation, direct services, and safety programs throughout the Federal Government. FOH takes a comprehensive approach to occupational health, focusing on public health to improve the health and safety of the Federal work force, and decrease the Government’s liability and health care costs through various clinical, environmental, educational, and risk-based prevention programs. FOH is the single largest provider of occupational health services in the Federal government, with over 1,700 funded agreements serving 288 Federal departments and agencies. Agreements are negotiated with national headquarters and/or regional/local components of federal departments and agencies. Some agreements contain a standard package of occupational health program components; others contain an array of services and consultations tailored to particular occupational health or environmental needs. FOH Service Provision Sites (SPSs) include approximately 260 FOH Occupational Health Centers (OHCs) throughout the United States, and each location requires a specific, steady supply of medications, vaccines and medical supplies. Purpose and Objectives PSC/FOH is conducting market research to prepare for the procurement of the FOH Medications, Vaccines, and Medical Supplies contract. FOH requires a vendor that can provide a seamless transition onto a contract vehicle for supplying all FOH clinics with the medications, vaccines, and medical supplies required to provide occupational health services throughout the Federal Government.
