Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) requires ongoing weekly deliveries of dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) for the purposes of cooling biological samples used in research and shipping of samples to other locations. The provision of dry ice is critical to the preservation and integrity of biological materials required by the FDA. Current consumption is approximately 3,055 lbs. weekly; this requirement is for an estimated 4,055 lbs. weekly. Quantities and volumes herein are estimates only and should not be construed as maximum or minimum requirements or a guarantee. Quantities and volumes are accurate to the best of the Government’s ability; weekly variances may affect the total requirements. The current requirement is for a base period and four option years of weekly dry ice deliveries to CBER. Please see attached solicitation (PDF).
