Evaluate Plastic Residues in Animal Foods from Human Food By-Product Processing: The impact of plastic consumption on animal health depends on several factors including the animal species, animal age, and the size, shape and composition of the plastic. This project aims to determine the fate, and thereby the safety, of residual plastic material in animal food made from human food by-products and the accompanying manufacturing practices (grinding, separation, etc.). This information will be used to determine the presence of plastic residues in animal foods.
