The FDA requires a combination 360 seam gauge system to nondestructively measure seam thickness and countersink depth of metal food containers. The system must perform automated 360-degree or multi-point measurements, support can diameters of 52–153 mm and heights of 55–240 mm, and meet specified accuracy and resolution levels. Delivery and performance will take place at the FDA Laboratory, 6502 S. Archer Road, Bedford Park, IL 60501. The contract includes a 12-month base year period of performance. The contractor must deliver one complete system with all necessary components, accessories, and documentation on an all-or-none basis.
