S Food & Drug Administration (FDA), The Office of Regulatory Science (ORS), Division of Analytical Chemistry requires the purchase of a maintenance service order for an existing Q-Exactive mass spectrometer to remedy current instrument performance issues. Service maintenance shall be from original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or OEM authorized/certified provider. The instrument Serial Number is: SN# 02519L. The spectrometer is primarily used for non-targeted analysis, which is a high priority project for the FDA. This instrument is currently having performance issues and the cause is not known and is difficult to determine. The degraded performance makes comparing to previously collected data sets incredibly difficult and decreases the confidence in chemical identifications.
