Food and Drug Administration (FDA)/Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) laboratories perform chemical analyses in food, feed, and drug that require homogenizing the samples in fine particles without changing the nature of the analytes of interest. Freezing sample matrices at very low temperature prior to homogenizing allows to achieve the smallest particle size to eliminate large volumes of extraction solvents, as well as better extraction efficiency. Purchase of one shaking incubator to improve sample preparation in the chemical analysis of food and feed.
