The Engineering Lab at WEAC currently has two optical measuring systems that are approximately 10 years old. While these systems are functional, there is no programmable function for samples with many dimensional requirements nor can parts larger than 4” be evaluated accurately. Additionally, analysis can only be performed in two dimensions (X and Y) where, in many cases, a third dimension (Z) is required. A measuring system that will measure in 3 dimensions, have better accuracy, can be used for larger samples, and be programmed for consistency and repeatability while saving time would broaden the measuring capability of the WEAC Engineering Lab to be able to provide more services. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Contractor selection will be based on the lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) offer that can “meet or exceed” the requirements stated in this solicitation. The Government reserves the right to award without discussions.
