The Southeast Food and Feed Laboratory (SFFL) is a full-service facility capable of performing a broad spectrum of analyses. The Microbiological Sciences Branch is the largest of the three branches that comprise SFFL. The branch is responsible for conducting Allergen testing for regulatory and consumer complaint samples. Most of the analyses rely on the use of the Tecan plate reader. Currently, the Microbiological Sciences Branch needs a replacement plate reader for older obsolete Tecan model which was acquired from the Chemistry Branch. The manufacturer no longer supports calibration of the instrument. In order to continue to meet quality standards, The Microbiology Branch must acquire a new plate reader which can be calibrated with a multi-check quality control test plate. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed-price purchase order as result of this solicitation. Please see the attached RFQ for complete requirement details and quotation submission instructions.
