The Office of Regulatory Science in the Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA/ORS) Forensic Chemistry Center (FCC) and the Southeast Food and Feed Lab (SFFL) provide support to various offices within ORA, as well as other agencies outside of the FDA in the analysis of foods, drugs, and dietary supplements, for metals. In order to provide enhanced capabilities for elemental analysis of a variety of sample types at both laboratories, each of the laboratories requires an Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES) system.
