Title: Notice of Intent to Sole Source – Cryostat Machine to Section Brains for Histology and RNA Spatial Transcriptomics VIA GSA (FAR 8.4) Description(s): The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS) intends to award a Federal Supply Schedule Order in accordance with FAR 8.405-6, to Government Scientific, 12351 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, VA 20191, for a cryostat machine, to be used in research at NIEHS, Research Triangle Park campus. The North American industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the business size standard is 1,000 Employees. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. It has been determined that Government Scientific is the only known responsible source capable of providing the required service and no other service will satisfy the agency's requirements via GSA. The purpose of this Purchase Order is to obtain Cryostat Machine to Section Brains for Histology and RNA Spatial Transcriptomics from Government Scientific. This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for quotes. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting NIEHS’ requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by the response date of this announcement, may be considered.
