This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this presolicitation synopsis is to provide notice to potential offerors of the upcoming contract opportunity. The goal of this notice is to enhance competition in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) intends to issue a solicitation titled “Data Collection Services for the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2023-2033.” Background Information.The NHANES is a national survey designed to assess the health and nutritional status of children and adults living in the United States. The NHANES combines standardized health examinations and biospecimen collections with interviews on health conditions and health-related behaviors. The survey uses a complex, multistage, probability sampling design to interview and examine a nationally representative sample of persons per year. Standardized health examinations and biospecimen data collections for NHANES are conducted in mobile exam centers. Offerors may gain a better understanding of the NHANES mission and how the data have been collected, disseminated, and used by consulting the resources on the NHANES webpage. (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nhanes/index.htm) Solicitation Information and Response Dates. The CDC anticipates a full and open, negotiated procurement in accordance with FAR Part 15. The anticipated period of performance is 120 months. The resultant contract is expected to be a hybrid of firm-fixed price, cost reimbursement and cost plus fixed-fee. The CDC intends to issue the solicitation for this requirement on or about February 19, 2021 with the reference number CDC-2021-45657-SOL-EDS. Final responses are anticipated to be due no later than 3:00 PM Eastern Time on May 14, 2021. Disclaimer and Important Notes.
