This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (SSN) posted for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY and is being issued for planning and market research. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of potential 8(a) small businesses in accordance with FAR 7.104(d). A potential 8(a) small business will need to demonstrate the ability to provide services related to the review of proposed Workers’ Compensation Medicare Set-Aside Arrangement (WCMSA) amounts and Other Non-Group Health Plan Medicare Set-Aside Arrangements (NGHPMSA). These services will need to be provided on a Fixed Price per unit basis to support the Financial Services Group (FSG) at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in the review and pricing of projected future medical costs associated with full and final settlement of CMS beneficiary injury or illness claims against other insurers. The business entity would also support tracking and quality assurance tasks related to pricing recommendations. Additional tasks may include outreach and education functions as needed. The information gathered from this market research will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy, including whether a set-aside is possible. The CMS may or may not issue a request for proposal or request for quotation. Responses to this SSN shall be the submission of a capability statement to demonstrate the ability of a business entity to perform the requirements; accordingly, CMS will not entertain questions regarding the results of this market research.
