The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract for an Artel Pipette Calibration System to Advanced Instruments, LLC. The CDC requires a non-gravimetric pipette calibration system that is a complete, closed unit that can function regardless of changes in air temperature, pressure, and humidity fluctuations in a laboratory. The system must also be able to provide complete documentation, data management, and audit trails to facilitate compliance with ISO 17025:2017. CDC's market research has identified the Artel Pipette Calibration System, available only from Advanced Instruments, as the only closed non-gravimetric pipette calibration system that provides sufficient documentation to comply with ISO 17025:2017. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government for the purpose of whether to conduct a sole source acquisition. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
