This contract is for the provision of pipette calibration services for all pipettes used by the Newborn Screening and Molecular Biology Branch (NSMBB). This contract is necessary because NSMBB has been accredited to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 17043 standard by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). To maintain this accreditation, compliance to A2LA’s Policy on Metrological Traceability (P102) is needed. This policy requires the use of a pipette calibration service accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 for this service. Service Location: CDC; Newborn Screening and Molecular Biology Branch, Atlanta, GA Interested small business concerns capable of providing the services detailed above are encouraged to submit capability statements to Nicholas Castrinos at ugn8@cdc.gov. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
