The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Nelson Laboratories LLC 6280 S. Redwood Road Salt Lake City, UT 84123 for Viral Penetration Testing and Bacterial Filtration Efficiency Testing. It is determined Nelson Laboratories is the only ISO 17025 accredited and FDA registered lab in the United States which conducts ASTM F1671 viral penetration resistance and ASTM F2101 bacterial filtration efficiency tests. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All quotations/responses received by the deadline specified in this notice, in accordance with FAR 5.203, will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
