The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Illumina Inc for 96 EA, MS-102-3003 MiSeq Reagent Kits (600 cycle). The MiSeq V3 sequencing kit has been validated for performance characteristics for the CDC lab’s genome sequencing workflow and specifications. Illumina’s MS-102-3003 MiSeq Reagent Kit v3 (600 cycle) is the only kit that can be used with the MiSeq Instruments within the CDC lab. There are no other products available as Illumina Inc is the only vendor that provides Miseq 600-cycle v3 kits. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within four (4) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
