The National Institutes of Health (NIH), located in Bethesda, Maryland, seeks a contractor to provide all labor, tools, supplies, transportation, and equipment necessary to perform the Inspections, Maintenance, and testing of emergency power supply system (EPSS) equipment in accordance with manufacturers specifications and codes. The emergency power supply system (EPSS) consists of emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, generator switchgear, load banks and diesel & gasoline fuel supply systems to include fuel tanks. The Contractor shall respond to requests for emergency services to any generator unit within two (2) hours. NIH reserves the right to specify what constitutes an emergency. Normally, emergency service shall be performed during normal working hours, however; emergency services shall be performed on a twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) days a week basis. Work under this contract may be performed at the NIH Main Campus in Bethesda, Maryland. The annual estimated total value for the Base and 4 Option Years is approximately $7-10 Million. The General Intent of this requirement is to award a single Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract. The period of performance will be for one base-year with an additional four (4) optional one-year periods. The anticipated date of award is in September 2022.
