Synthesis and Distribution of Drugs of Abuse and Related Compounds
This is a sources-sought notice, not a solicitation, and no contract award will result from responses; it is intended to assess qualified business sources and inform acquisition strategy. NIDA/DTMC and NIH seek capability statements from organizations able to synthesize, acquire, store, analyze, maintain, and distribute controlled and uncontrolled drugs of abuse and related compounds, including stable and radioisotope-labeled chemicals, peptides, and metabolites. The work includes maintaining inventory purity at not less than 95%, re-purifying deteriorated materials, updating chemical data sheets, using and updating the DISCS database, processing researcher requests, and providing secure storage and safe shipment under DEA requirements. Vendors must hold a DEA Research Registration for Schedules II–V and demonstrate the ability to obtain Schedule I registration, and responses should document staff expertise, current capability, similar prior projects, corporate/management experience, and government contract references. Responses are limited to ten pages excluding cover page, executive summary, resumes, and references, and must be submitted electronically in Word or PDF with required organizational and contact information.
