NIH/NCI intends to award a firm-fixed-price, sole-source contract to Carl Zeiss Microscopy for a Protect Premium Service Agreement covering three AxioScan.Z1 microscopes. The agreement includes preventive maintenance inspections, labor and travel for PM and repair visits, covered replacement parts, phone support, priority scheduling, factory-trained field engineers, remote diagnostics, and software updates. Performance is a base year from February 1, 2027 through January 31, 2028, plus two option periods extending through January 31, 2030, at NIH, 9000 Rockville Pike, Bldg. 37, Room 1023B, Bethesda, MD 20892. Although the requirement is justified as sole source due to proprietary ZEISS parts, software, calibration, and certified technicians, the government will consider quotations from non-OEM offerors that demonstrate bona fide capability to meet all requirements.
